SBM mine car pusher system
SBM mine car pusher system provides a positive drive for mine cars not only along a horizontal arcuate track section,, but also along an arcuate track section arranged on a downgrade or a moderate upgrade.
- SBM mine car pusher system on an arcuate track section, comprising drivers guided for longitudinal movement between the rails of the arcuate track section and spaced along the arcuate track section in two groups arranged side-by-side, the drivers of the respective groups being relatively staggered along the arcuate track section, and means for driving the two groups in mutually opposite directions whereby the mine car is engaged by the drivers of the two groups alternately and in succession.
- SBM mine car pusher system as claimed in Claim 1, in which said groups of drivers comprise driver carriages which are connected to each other and at one end of the arcuate track section are connected to said drive means.

SBM mine car pusher system as claimed in Claim 2 wherein the last of the two driver carriages of the two groups of carriages disposed at the end of the arcuate track section remote from the driving means are connected by a tension element extending around a reversing pulley mounted in a stationary position.
- 4. SBM mine car pusher system as claimed in Claim 3, wherein a tension element passes around a pulley at that end of the arcuate track section adjacent the drive means, said tension element connecting those carriages of the two groups of carriages which are next to the drive.
