Nickel Ore Info
Nickel is a silvery-white metal with a slight golden tinge that takes a high polish. It is one of only four elements that are magnetic at or near room temperature. Its Curie temperature is 355 °C. That is, nickel is non-magnetic above this temperature. Nickel belongs to the transition metals and is hard and ductile.
Nickel is extracted from Nickel ore. The nickel ore mining is a complex process which needs many equipment. The main processes include:
- Crushing
- Flotation
- Pressure acid leach of nickel laterites
- Pressure oxidation of sulphides
- Roasting and smelting
- Ferronickel production
- Grinding
- Solvent extraction separation
- Mixed sulphide precipitation
- Hydrogen reduction
- Electro-refining
SBM is professional crushing equipment and grinding machine manufacturer. We have designed cone crusher for nickel ore crushing, ball mill for nickel ore grinding, vibrating screen for sieving.
The ore is crushed to -5 inches in primary cone crushers, then reduced to -1/2" in short head cone crushers. The ore is then ground to -100 mesh in ball mills. Using wet magnetic separators the magnetic ore is separated and further reduced to -200 mesh in a ball mill.
Apart from cone crusher and ball mill, SBM crushing equipment also includes jaw crusher, impact crusher, VSI crusher and SBM grinding machine also includes Raymond mill, vertical mill, trapezium grinding machine, coarse powder mill, etc.
